Rules of Success
- You must believe in yourself 100% as the wise coach says. (Thanks Bob)
- You must convince others that you believe in yourself 100%, but first convince yourself.
- You must realize that you can’t make time, you only have time. Use it wisely on the things that matter most.
- You must learn from Steven Covey, “First things, first”. You must put the things that are important to you first in your day. Other things will come only when essential to your well-being.
- You must learn the past is the past, tomorrow is tomorrow, and today is now. Learn from the past, to cherish tomorrow’s gift of life, and to live today. The past is guaranteed, now and tomorrow are not.
- You must realize that you have much at stake in life. Make ever choice as if you may lose it all if you are wrong.
- You must follow continuous learning. Learn from the past mistakes of yourself and others. Try not repeating them.
- You must let your mistakes go and forgive yourself.
- You must learn to cherish the small things in life: A sunset, your wife/husbands smile, a beautiful bike, a kick ass song, etc.
- You must lead and do so with kindness and respect. When that fails be an ass, then return to kindness. 99% kindness 1% ass.
- You must respect yourself: your body and your mind. You are only given one of each. If you fail follow this rule then you will lose it all someday.
- You must get a textbook education and an education in life. Failure to do both will leave you behind.
- You must and may be arrogant if you know what you are talking about. If others don’t believe you, respectfully give them your business card, they will need it with others fail them.
- You must learn that others determine everything about you in the first seven to seventeen seconds of meeting you. Always be on top of your game and be who you really are. It may take a lifetime to convince them otherwise.
- You must learn to follow your gut when the circumstance calls for you to.
- You must learn to quickly read people. Less than 30 seconds is all you have. Failure to do so may leave you dead in a ditch.
- You must get “HIGH” on life. Not something else.
- You must ride the rollercoaster. The ups and downs, and the hard banking twist and turns, are what form your life, even though sometimes you might get derailed.
- You must ride a bicycle. A bicycle will take you places that nothing else will both in the physical sense and in the spiritual. The world is different way from atop a bicycle saddle. “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving” – Albert Einstein
